1.
Take the injector with you to hardware supply to get the “T” you need to install
the injector
into your water line. The injector part of the "T" is 1/2". The tip of the injector is made extra long
so that it will reach down to the pipe if you need to add reducers to get down to 1/2". It is ok to cut
the injector tip to fit if it is too long. It is a good idea to cut the
end tip of the injection fitting so it does not stick out into your
water line past the depth of the "T" you installed. It is okay if it is
less than the depth of the "T".
2.
Do NOT loop the hoses. You will need to cut or drill two holes into the
top of the solution tank, one hole for the degasser tube and one hole
for the suction line. If you are mounting the pump directly to the
solution tank you will need to make the hole for the suction line big
enough to fit the suction valve fitting into. You can then mount the
pump onto the solution tank using four self threading screws.
3. Fill the tube going to the injector with liquid before
you start priming.
4. We have had NO issues when residential customers did NOT
install an anti-siphoning valve as instructed in the chemical-feeder instruction manual.
5. We have had NO issues when the customer did NOT install
the injector UNDER the horizontal incoming water line. Sometimes those lines are too low to the floor to
get under them.
6. We normally install the injector BEFORE the pressure
tank. If you are installing BEFORE the pressure tank you DO NOT need an extra external flow switch, you
just hook it up to the pressure switch on your pressure tank. If the injector is to be installed AFTER
the pressure tank then you MUST install a flow switch in the line PAST the pressure tank.
7. If you have any damaged parts please reply to the
confirmation e-mail that was sent you to report the problem. Please be specific what part was damaged.
Otherwise simply e-mail the main website address where you made your purchase.
8. DO NOT put the suction tube so far down into the tank
that the basket at the end of the tube lays on the bottom. It should be suspended at least an inch or
more from the bottom of the tank.

Chemical Feeder Pump MIXTURES (Chlorine and soda ash) for pH and disinfection:
For disinfection (E-coli/Coliform):
Add 1 gallon of bleach to 15 gallons of water and test. Check with local officials
to see their recommended chlorine levels to test for.
For Sulfur removal:
Add 15 gallons of water to mixing tank. Add 1 cup of household Clorox bleach to
mixing tank. Run water for a couple of minutes than see if smell is gone. If not simply repeat the
process adding 1 cup of bleach each time until smell is gone. There will come a time when the sulfur and
chlorine neutralize each other so you don’t have a reading for either one.
For iron bacteria or iron bacteria and sulfur:
Add 15 gallons of water and 1/3 gallon of Clorox household bleach to mixing tank.

Chemical feeder pH mixtures
We suggest using 14 gallons of water to 1 pound of
soda ash. Keep adding soda ash until proper pH is achieved. (it's a good idea to write on side of tank the date
and what the final mixture was to reach desired pH.) Always use the same container when adding soda ash.
If proper pH
can’t be reached, try using caustic soda (stronger, has better chance of working). Try finding it at
local feed & grain store or a simple internet search should help.
If pH still
can’t be reached or starting pH is 5.5, you should use a single media acid neutralizer tank filled with
calcite. You may want to upsize tank, in case pH still can’t reach proper level.
If pH is 4.5 or higher, a sequence of two backwashing acid neutralizers
with different medias consisting of calcite & corosex is virtually
certain to take care of pH issues under normal circumstances.
In some cases while, we don't recommend it, customers have mixed media
in one tank with some success.
If you have
no pressure tank or in case you have to install after pressure tank, a flow switch must be ordered.
The flow
switch has a sensor that goes into a line that will monitor water flow. This will tell the pump when to
inject solution.
