The use of compression fittings can take you from copper and torches to simple fittings and hoses.
Remove smoked face plate to find "jumper pins".
This picture shows where you find the "jumper pins" to set the unit. The little smoked glass plastic
piece just pops right out so that you can find the pin underneath.

The arrow points to the "jumper pin". When you are done setting up the unit return the
jumper pin to
the TIME position or the unit will not function.
There will come a time when the unit will want you to enter its "capacity". When it asks you for this
number the answer is the size of your softener. For example: If the size of
your softener is a 30,000 grain, you would enter 30.
