*Typical Well Water Diagram This diagram shows the typical order in which components are set up.
*Please note that not everybody will have this exact set-up. The equipment used will depend on what types of water problems are being treated. A Chemical Feed Pump is used to inject chlorine or to raise pH. Pressure Tanks are typically used with private wells. The tank provides consistent pressure to the home's water system. A Retention Tank is used when you need "contact time" (time for the water to stay in a tank with chlorine or other chemicals to do their job. An Acid Neutralizer can be used to raise the pH. A Pyrolox Filter can remove sulfur, iron and manganese. A Water Softener is used to remove hardness from the water. A Reverse Osmosis Unit removes Fluoride, Lead, Heavy metals, Cysts, Cryptosporidium, Bacteria, Tastes, Odors, THMs, Chlorine, Fluoride, Radium and much more to give you purified drinking water.
